Ray Arreola is an El Paso musician/songwriter, playing in multiple bands, and leading his own trio.

He was a member of a punk band called Tu-Edge in the early 90s, opening for punk icons in clubs around town, and writing original songs. Some of his songs ended up on the debut from At The Drive In.

After Tu-Edge ended, Ray and bassist Sam formed The Third Edge, which still plays occasionally around town.

​

In 2019, Ray decided to start releasing songs under his own name, as The Third Edge had been dormant for a while, and he was continuing to write songs. So he sent demos to Johnnie Walker, who worked on drums and helping produce the songs, leading to the first Arreola release, "The EP".
